Just take 1 moment. There’s no shame in taking a breather for a few minutes. Just take a moment.
Our fast-paced lifestyle for some reason is driving us ever more forward, forward, to be here and to be there, simultaneously, effectiveness is the key, now, quickly, faster, harder, stronger and faster again, remember efficiency! If you would not read, but to hear that previous sentence, you probably would not remember the starting words of it. It might be just like that in your life. So much going on at once that your brain just can’t keep it up. Calenders and technology helps us to degree, but we all have our limits. Slow down, breathe, open your eyes, look, see, hear, touch, feel, talk, listen, start being. Take a break, just take 1 moment for yourself.
It’s important to go forward and be productive. Yes, no doubt about that. Only that there’s a problem that we seem to go forward mostly externally. We go aimlessly after goals that might have absolutely nothing to do with our inner goals. We go after things that simply does not resonate with the essence of our real self. What really matters to me is that how well I’m heading forward internally. Shifting the main focus from going forward externally to moving on forward internally gives you the edge of finding the real reason for your being. Thinking this way opens your mind for healthy self-questioning. Well placed questions are the substrate for your personal development. These questions only awakens when you take a break. Just take 1 moment for yourself.
What’s attractive for me in other people is that if I see them evolving as human-beings and as a thinkers. These people seem to be born or are “reborn” as a doers of things that have a real reason behind them. These are the people who can spot what makes the difference and they are the same people how can make the difference. In order to find a reason, just take a moment for yourself.
When I’m old and on my dying chores, It will not matter what I did if I can proudly say: “I was there and I did it!”
It’s easy as one, two, three, easy like A, B, C. Find a 20 minutes of time, a beautiful place and sit down. Stare softly at something marvelous presenting itself in from of you, let it be a tree, a stream of water, children playing, passing cars or bicyclists or a horizon. Let your thoughts come and go. Slow down, breathe, open your eyes, look, see, hear, touch, feel, start being. Take a break, just take 1 moment for yourself.
